HOLBROOK, NY — Two winning New York Lottery tickets were sold this week in Suffolk County, lottery officials announced Tuesday.
A $50,000 third-prize ticket for Monday’s Powerball was purchased at the 7-Eleven store on North Country Road in Rocky Point. The winning ticket had four of the five numbers – 4-7-32-55-64 – and the Powerball of 25.
A first prize winning ticket has been sold for Monday’s Take 5 party drawing, New York Lottery officials announced Tuesday.
The $33,024 ticket was purchased from Elite Group Holbrook on Veterans Highway, officials say.
The winning numbers in the Powerball game are drawn from a field of one to 69 and the Powerball number is drawn from a separate field of one to 26, officials said. The Powerball draw is televised every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 11 p.m. The next jackpot is September 7 and it is estimated at $170 million.
Powerball players can securely check their tickets on the New York Lottery app.
Take 5 players with noon and evening draws on the same ticket must check their numbers on nylottery.ny.gov to see if they have the winning numbers for the corresponding noon or evening draw, officials explained in a Press release.
Take 5 numbers are drawn from a field of one to 39 and the draw is televised twice a day at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m., officials said, adding that a lottery game prize of any amount can be claimed up to ‘one year from date of drawing.’
