Thor: Love and Thunder hits theaters July 8, less than a month from now. Next Phase 4 MCU Movie Drops Nearly Two Months Later Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness and exactly one month later Ms. Marvelthe Disney+ Television show which premiered on Wednesday. MCU fans who are dying to see Thor (Chris Hemsworth) in action again will soon be able to purchase the love and thunder tickets online, as pre-orders are about to begin. Marvel has confirmed everything via a new teaser clip. Warning, some spoilers follow below.
Doctor Strange 2 overcome $910 million at the box office, and the sequel looks set to hit $1 billion before hitting streaming. Multiverse of Madness will be available on Disney Plus on June 22.
That’s about $1 billion less than Spider-Man: Far From Home at the box office, but the comparison is not fair. Doctor Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch) is a brand new hero, relatively speaking. Spider-Man has a much larger audience and is guaranteed to sell out plenty of tickets.
With this in mind, we expect Thor 4 to at least match the performance of Multiverse of Madness At the box office. Thor isn’t Spider-Man either, but the hero has a large fanbase and enjoys some seniority on Doctor Strange. He’s the only character to get four separate MCU movies so far.
Not to mention that Taika Waititi practically reinvented the character with Thor: Ragnarok after the not so great Thor 2 after.
Thor: Love and Thunder ticket sales
Maybe that’s what Marvel thinks. This certainly explains why the studio waited so long to start promoting. love and thunder. The first one Thor 4 the trailer dropped only a few weeks ago, with Marvel following up with a second trailer shortly after.
Since then, we’ve seen a few shorter promo clips featuring additional footage. And Marvel released such a love and thunder video on Wednesday to announce the start of online ticket sales.
The clip contains additional scenes from the film that were not shown in the trailers. There aren’t any big reveals from the trailers, but Thor’s voiceover does indicate that they’re building some sort of team. They’re probably doing this to fight the movie’s big bad, Gorr the Butcher God (Christian Bale).
We don’t know who they are, but we saw Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) fighting Gorr in Trailer 2, and she was shaking Zeus’ (Russell Crowe) weapon. This scene also made an appearance in the new clip.
It’s right at the end of the new promo video that Marvel tells us Thor: Love and Thunder tickets go on sale Monday, June 13. Again, we’re looking at pre-orders here. This is when you’ll want to place your orders online, as some locations might sell out quickly. That’s what happened with Multiverse of Madness when online ticket sales started.
