Good Omens stars David Tennant and Michael Sheen reprise their roles for the new audiobook adaptation of Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman’s novel.
William Morrow and Company have revealed the full official cast of the upcoming audiobook adaptation of Good omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.
As announced in a promotional video posted on Twitter by William Morrow (and shared later by Gaiman himself), the new Good omens The audiobook – slated for release on Tuesday, November 2 – will be narrated by Rebecca Front. Additionally, Michael Sheen and David Tennant, stars of the Amazon Prime Video TV adaptation Good omens, will resume their respective roles of Aziraphale and Crowley.
The Good omens the audiobook also features the voices of Katherine Kingsley as Anathema Device; Arthur Darvill as Newton Pulsifer; Peter Forbes as Shadwell; Gabrielle Glaister as Madame Tracy and Agnes Nutter; Louis Davison as Adam; Pixie Davis as Pepper; Chris Nelson as Wensleydale; and Ferdinand Frisby Williams as Brian. Additionally, the set includes Adjoa Andoh, Allan Corduner, Kobna Holdbrook-Smith, Josh Hopkins, Lorelei King, Matt Reeves, and Lemn Sissay. Finally, the audiobook presents Gaiman as himself.
Written by the duo of Gaiman and the late Pratchett, Good omens: the beautiful and exact prophecies of Agnes Nutter, witch was originally published in 1990. The novel follows the angel Aziraphale and the demon Crowley, who – having become accustomed to life on Earth – attempt to prevent the coming of the Antichrist and, by extension, the end of the world .
The first season of Good omensThe TV adaptation, a co-production of Amazon Studios and BBC Studios, dropped its six episodes on Prime Video on May 13, 2019. Good omens Season 1 was then broadcast on BBC Two in the UK from January 15, 2020 to February 19, 2020. The series is directed by Douglas Mackinnon, with Gaiman as creator, writer and showrunner.
Last June, Amazon announced that it had renewed Good omens for a second season, with the return of Sheen and Tennant. “The new season will explore storylines that go beyond the original source material to illuminate the bizarre friendship between Aziraphale, a wayward angel and rare book dealer, and the fast-living demon Crowley,” Amazon told in relation to Good Omens 2. “Being on Earth from the start and with the Apocalypse foiled, Aziraphale and Crowley find an easy life among the mortals of London’s Soho when an unexpected messenger presents a surprising mystery.”
The new audiobook treatment of Good omens by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman, performed by Rebecca Front, Michael Sheen and David Tennant, goes on sale November 2 from William Morrow and HarperAudio.
