Sunny Days and Sea Breezes – Carole Matthews

Sunny Days and Sea Breezes by Carole Matthews

What a beautiful, beautiful book! I have read some of Carole Matthews’ books and they are always a good read. Sunny days and sea breezes takes place on the Isle of Wight. I’ve never been there but I think it’s now a place I should visit. I imagined myself at the edge of the sea strolling on the small country roads. I felt so relaxed, felt like I was on the island myself and loved the story. Jodie escapes from her everyday life in crazy London to take a break on a small English island away from her possibly unfaithful husband and away from the pain she feels after the loss (I won’t say more!) His brother Bill lent him the use of his newly renovated houseboat, which is another thing I feel I now want to try. On the island, Jodie meets new people who will change her life and give her a smile. Maralyn the housekeeper is just wonderful, we could all use a Maralyn in our lives and as for the neighbor Ned… phew! Five stars from me for this book. Liz
