UTEP officials announced on Wednesday that single-game tickets for men’s and women’s basketball are officially on sale. Prices start at $ 8 for women’s basketball and $ 10 for men’s basketball depending on the game.
The UTEP men’s basketball team will play 17 home games in 2021-22, including nine Conference USA games. Some big name contests include NM State (December 3), Weststar Don Haskins Invitational (December 21-22), UAB (February 26) and Rice (March 3).
This is the first year for the Miners under the guidance of head coach Joe Golding, who is already enjoying the fans.
“I cannot thank our fans enough for your investment in purchasing tickets for the upcoming season,” said Golding. “The fans have an important role to play as we pursue our goal of bringing this program back into competition for the championships. It’s time to bring the passion and energy back to the Don. Go Miners!
Weststar Don Haskins Invitational tickets are offered in a four-game, two-night package as well as a two-game, one-night option. The four-game package is offered to the general public at $ 25 and $ 45 (price based on seat location), while UTEP students and active military personnel with ID can purchase for $ 10 . UTEP students can purchase an additional guest ticket at the same price, and military personnel can purchase up to four tickets at the reduced rate. The mainstream ticket price for the two-game, one-night package is $ 13 or $ 24 and UTEP students and serving military personnel with ID can purchase for $ 6.
The UTEP women’s basketball team will play 16 competitions (one exhibit) inside the Don Haskins Center. Notable home games include NM State (November 17), Air Force (December 21), Middle Tennessee (January 1) and Rice (February 5). After becoming the first coach in program history to post three winning seasons in his first four years, head coach Kevin Baker knows the importance of ticket sales.
“As we approach the first kickoff of the season, ticket sales are the most important way to support our team,” said Baker. “Buying a ticket, wearing orange and being loud are always the best ways to make our basketball program a success. We need our fans in the stands. We’re going to put a very exciting team on the pitch and they’ll be fun to watch. It’s going to be another great season.
In addition to the Miners’ new look in the men’s and women’s squad looking to build on their 17-game winning season from a year ago, fans can expect to see the new Don Haskins Center short. in person.
Fans looking for the best value for money are encouraged to purchase season tickets. Groups of 10 or more can also save on the ticket price for a match.
